We used the camping field extensively this weekend just gone, and it is nice and dry, so no problem putting caravans and campervans on it as well as tents, currently, provided we don't now get solid rain for 10 days...

Looking forward to hosting lots of Minisail sailors - we could have numbers into the teens if all goes well!

winds not to strong, not to hot, good company, perfect.
Paul, if you get any more boats, your avatar will be a post itself.

It's bound to become an excellent event.
Can't wait to be along that many Minisails lining up at the starting grid Sunday morning and join a genuine class race.

On the off topic theme: bought two boats recently and have parted at the same time with three, maybe four. Leaving me with three to four wooden boats to shelter, store (and take care of) inside, and one plastic that will live on easily upside down under a cover outside at the club. About what I can handle sort of.
Could be wrong but for now I feel to have a balanced collection of shoes, sorry boats now... Yes probably wrong.
Greetings,
Ronny

Charlie is now no longer going to be able to sail my spare Minisail at the Nationals at Whitefriars this weekend. Is there anyone out there who would like to borrow the boat? A chance to get some coaching on the Sat, followed by 4 races on the Sunday.

Well, that was a truly international Nationals!

With entries from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as Falmouth, Southampton, Birmingham, Liverpool and Swindon, I think we can say that people travelled from far and wide!

I think we had 16 Minisails on site and 13 racing - a great turnout.

Still a ways to go before I feel it will be self prepetuating, Roger, but it was great fun to have so many boats together in one place.

nice to see Rupert have a challenger for top Minisailer.
great weekend, highlights for me, seeing approx 8 inline astern of club boats tearing towards me on a fast reach, with a beautiful sky blue Merlin in centre, Dean Martin ( not the singer ) doing his stand up routine, half a dozen Minisails contending for room at the mark, their were many other highlights but these are the ones that stick in my mind.
