Oar sleeves or collars

Post by Michael4 »

OK, rowing not sailing, but does anyone know a supplier of hard rubber oar sleeves or whatever they are called? The things that protect the wooden oar from the rowlock, used to be leather etc.

Thanks

Any of the Wooden Oar makers can probably help. You can buy a Heat shrink collar. Put it where you want it then apply hot air from an electric stripper (Much quicker and easier than steam)

(Look up "PVC sleeves" or Collars.) There is a contact telephone number to help with your enquiry.

All kinds of oar collars and fittings. Shrink fit or copper tac fitting.
