Go to bottom of reply page, click on browse, find the file you want, click on add the file, post.

If the file is bigger than 100 thingimybobs, it will be too big. Clever people can use a method where they show a picture which is hosted elsewhere. My skill run out before this.

Thanks for trying but I am defeated...I'll wait until someone who has more youthful brain cells is close by and try later...it is too big apparently!

14ft cold-moulded by a local shopkeeper and launched in 1956 she has a
27ft mast! I think she’s saveable but comes under the ‘long term’
tag. I wonder what she was based around…Firefly was around but I wonder
where he got the inspiration. I’ve got a couple of bits of documentation
related to her launch and winning the local club series but she is still
varnished and although water has got in the wood is still hard and, I
think/hope, sound….currently she’s drying out!

There are a couple of centreboards, and a couple of rudders that are works
of art…one is hollow, the shallower draught centreboard has lead let in
- I’d love to know more but haven’t dug up much locally. The previous
owner remembers the builder’s daughter telling him that her father
wanted to be the fastest boat on the Broads…I can’t imagine that
she’d have got near a Norfolk Punt!

I remember seeing something similar on Barton Broad in about 1980. Was a long time ago but do remember seeing a very large rig and a small hull.

Quite possible Jim, the guy that I got it from thinks he was only the 2nd owner and he bought it in '97. I must confess I bought unseen from ebay with the thought that the trailer was worth what I paid but the craftsmanship (and he was a shopkeeper, not a tradesman) is outstanding. Sadly she's been under a rotted cover for a couple of years...I will try to sort some photos - the rudder is a piece of fine furniture!
