Anyone going to the Dinghy Show?

Post by Rupert »

Whelans will be on the Lightning stand, which is double size this year to fit 2 boats with the 2 different rigs on. Come and visit!

Planning to be there Saturday am. It's the unveiling of the new Sailing Academy back home.

Very interesting to hear about the new Lightning Rig, what mast will it use?

Wasn't there a problem for a while with availability of masts for the Lightning? is this OK now?

Are you still using Needspars or something else now.

cheers

A couple of years ago Claridge produced a smaller rig on a shorter mast. Masts are now an Ali bottom and carbon top, made by John.

I would be going, and even got as far as buying train tickets.

However; as it turns out, I have a visit day at Queens Belfast (the same day - the 28th).

So, is anyone travelling from Birmingham; either Snow hill leaving at 7:11, or Moor Street at 7:15, or even Stourbridge (where the ticket was booked from) at 6:45, to Alexandra Palace? Returning from Alexandra Palace Station at 15:57. And should arrive just in time to see David's book launch.

If this is the case, I have two sets of train tickets going spare, if anyone wants them, just let me know and the tickets will be on their way to you. They are the non-refundable ones, so if anyone needs them, then please get in touch...

Any offer considered (sorry about this, but the tickets were £69 for both).

Cheers,

Max

PS - sorry to hijack the thread, but I don't think this topic constitutes a new thread, but I am happy to 'oblige' either way, so if it needs changing, then feel free to move it / delete it / do whatever is required to it.

Ideal place to put the posting, Max.

Sadly, coming from Swindon, so can't help.

Yes, I hadn't considered this; but I might PM Nessa first to make sure it 'abides' the pages guidelines....

Cheers,
