Baltic Wharf

Post by PeterV »

Baltic Wharf Sailing Club have put 2 events in the calendar, the first is fairly short notice on 11 April and the second on 14 November. Both will start with a race to the Head of the Harbour at 10.30 then one or two races round the buoys in the afternoon.

For those who haven't sailed in Bristol Docks before it's a very interesting place to sail with no tides to worry about and plenty to see including the SS Great Britain and many other historic and interesting vessels. The wind gusts around the buildings making the sailing challenging but somehow the. Best always seem to get to the front.

Bump! as this is this weekend. Is anyone going?
I don't think we can even get the boat out from behind the pile of building materials and the digger, so I doubt if we'll be there.

All cvrda qualified boats still in a barn, so I won't be there, I'm afraid. A shame, really as I could actually have made it for once.

I can't make this either - boat mid jobs unfortunately, self bailers out at the moment so wouldn't go very well!

Enjoyed the Nov meeting so hope to make it again this year....
