Hi Chris
BBQ not a problem. Weather I've been making sacrifices to ensure fine weather. But they may have not like my libations.
Cheers Alan

Alan, the Jollyboat probably won't be ready for Roadford so I will be bringing the I14.

At the moment I don't have a crew so if anyone would like to crew for me there is a space (;>))

Not 100% sure my Jollyboat will be sailing either....

It could be, it is up at the lake anyway, but would need to sort out crew and it is getting a bit late in the day for that....but will ask around. mmmmm, also need to buy some new kite-sheets and check loose rudder pintle, not unsummountable, but time is running out.

If I am not sailing the Jollyboat, I will be in the Firefly.

I think Kevin is bringing both his Flying Moth and Duckling. Both are totally beautiful but not sailed much yet.

cheers

Hi
I,m hoping to get to Roadford early Friday morning about 9ish. Have a few things to do. But feel free to drop around for a beer or cup of tea and register. My motorhome should be parked closest to the BBQ area.
Cheers Al

We are hoping to be there on Friday. Plans have changed and we're not going on to Travemundw, so we're now bringing Aggie boat wise, plus our dogs. This will mean one of us will need to dog sit while the other crews or helms, so we'll be looking out for co-test pilots to check out the new systems.

Tempted to bring the stealth but I doubt her indoors will share my enthusiasm.

Well.... finished putting the Hit back together yesterday and enlisted some assistance to put the Megabyte on the top deck of the trailer.

Planning to travel down the M5 Friday morning post rush hour so see you all then.

Nessa - I am probably more skilled at dog sitting than sailing but happy to help :).

Arrrggghhh...

Went and bought another car last w/end so I could use Land rover to get up to lake......but now the Land Rover is sounding like someone has dropped 1/2 ton of metal scrap in the gearbox or diff.....so back to being unsure how I can get up there.

Most likely, I will borrow a car and if possible tow up the Firefly and sail that. Fingers crossed. Hope to be up for Friday or even possibly Thursday.

Hopefully see you then

cheers

Reminder to all that Roadford does not have a bar or on-site catering, apart from Alan's mega-barbeque with cider on Saturday, so remember to bring your own food and drink. It's about ten miles to the nearest shops!

Nearest shop is Lifton Post Office (6.5 miles) and the Farm Shop through Lifton.

Supermarkets in Launceston (Tesco, Lidl, Co-op) or Okehampton (Waitrose, Lidl, Co-op)

Epoxy, tools, rigging, screws and usually enough spares to fix most things - my place, look for the Devon flag flying in Grinacombe Moor.

Nearest pubs are the Village Inn in Ashwater and the Clovelly Inn at Bratton Clovelly. There's a couple in Lifton - Lifton Hall and Arundell Arms.

There's also food available from Lakeside Cafe on the other side of Roadford Lake.
