Poor Torment has been languishing somewhat this past few months and I may well mis my deadline to be ready for Roadford, and even Bosham.
I have been rather hung up by the need to get some robbins ply, to replace the cheeks on the centre plate but I managed a journey to Bristol while collecting some Alumunium riggers salvaged of a smashed up aylings rowing IV washed up on the Avon mud. I wonder what happened with that one?? Rather annoyingly posted on ebay as a set of Double scull riggers! They will go into the garage attic and will find a use one day.
Robbins were about to shut so I had to select the sheet of 4mm ply in a hurry. Elite ply with a Mahogany surface veneer and a nice bit of grain but rather pale colour.
I have cut the shape out simply by tracing around the old pieces as a template. Firm tracing then with a stanley knife and they have punched out like the wings of a Balsa rubber band airplane.
So, as I have shown they are rather too pale. even with a lick of white spirit to see how the colours are, so here is the question....
China or Indian tea? Earl Grey or Orange Peko?

I have gone for a well stewed pot of Yorkshire Gold. The effect is reasonably pleasing but needs a a bit more strength.

You red my mind Ed.
It needs a bit of red (or pink) to match the mahogany, especially after another 6 cups of tea...
...and I never thought I would actually find a use for "herbal tea...Cranberry to be precise.

Childminding, is a poor excuse for not going to Roadford.
