Single Hander

Post by Chrisrjwood »

Well, it seems that I need a single hander for events when I can't get crew... :?

I have had a few suggestions, Harrier, Hit, Finn....

If anyone has something like this looking for a good home perhaps you could contact me?

I have a british moth that is not getting any sailing at present. Needs stripping, a bit of filling, and revarnishing. Nice boats to sail and easy to move about being so light. Mine is with launch trolley, no road trailer, good mast and sail.

Hi Chris,

Sailing: = :-)
I should be at Staunton Harold (probably in a Minisail), Roadford(no boat) and at Hunts(No boat).

Shearwater is no guarantee at the moment. Aldeburgh and Bosham are both termtime, so difficult for me.

Do you have any other event suggestions?

Thanks to everyone for your advice and suggestions.

I think that I'll probably rig up the firefly for Staunton Harold unless anyone volunteers to crew for me before that?

Tony, perhaps you could pm me about your Finn?

There are also a couple of others around I know, Peter V?

Dean, hopefully see you at SH...

Chris, what sort of weight would you say I should expect for an I14?

Hi Dean, the Faireys and the penultimates are I think are 212 to 220lbs, about 100kilo.

That's the hull weight, so maybe 120 to 130kilo all up.

Thinking of buying one?
