Looks lovely doesn't it. I wonder if it's older than 1971 too as when I started sailing Swifts at Leigh in 1974 there were very few bridge deck Shearwater cats left, the vast majority already had alloy beams and trampolines.

Hi Peter
I used to own the last Shearwater built with a solid bridge deck "OH NO" her number I forgotten but it was in the 1800's .She was built with the deck to enable a less mobile owner to still sail. I gave her to a guy from Weston who was going to sail her, but have heard that she was broken up for parts, to refit a more modern boat. I still have a Shearwater IV mainsail in the loft.
