Roadford 16th -17th July

Post by alan williams »

Hi
Please could you give me an idea of who's coming and how many supporters they will bring. As That will help determine how many I need to cater fore. Indicate if you are a vegetarian. I know there are at least 2 attending at the present time.
Looking forward to seeing you all
Regards Al
Ps have good time at Clywedog.
PPs I'll be sailing a Finn at Roadford as the weather has not allowed the ff to dry out or given me a prolonged period without rain to get some varnish on..

Chris yes bring the finn.
However we well probably need to move the deck bearing ring on the mast and rig it halyards, kickers and such. There is a Finn available to borrow. The owner has damaged his back at work if you wish to use this boat bring a rudder or we can try and get one of mine to fit, I'll supply a sail. This maybe the quicker solution.
Cheers Alan.

Hi Alan, it would be good if I can borrow a boat, it will save me trailing one all the way to Devon!

I have several rudders, do you know what the spacing between the pintles is on the borrowed Finn?

Hi Alan, I will bring a boat anyway as I have a mast to collect but I would also like to borrow the Finn if it is ok.

Hi Chris
Not a problem.
I'm hoping to be there on the 14th and stay until the 18th so we should have time to sort 123 out.
Looking forward to seeing you and the boat.

Great weekend at Roadford. Thanks to Alan and the Williams 'pit crew' including little Owain who gave a great rendition of the 'wheels on the bus'. Thoroughly enjoyable many thanks again.

Thanks to all at Roadford for a great weekend.
Good racing on Saturday, sadly no wind on Sunday morning so Alan W came up with a novel team building exercise - How many people does it take to make a Flying Fifteen fly? The answer appropriately, 15, all complaining about bad backs, plus a few more to switch the trailers.

Can we have an 89 minute pursuit race next time, as those Ospreys got a bit too close!

Cheers
