Yachting world day boat

Post by Dave Norris »

I am looking for a Yachting world Day boat. Preferably GRP or a smoothly wood but will consider anything that does not need a lot of structural work. Cosmetic work is not an issue but I haven't got the space for anything else. Boat should be no newer than 1985 which would make it pre 600 number.

I have passed on your requirement to our dayboat owning friends who have good connections with other owners and the class.

While on the subject of Dayboats, Back in 1977 my late father Ron webster & i built a DB, no 596 Phantom II
She was glued clinker & a lovely boat. We sold her to a bloke surmame of Williams in the mid 80's. I seem to remember he came from wales. I heard that he stuck her indoors & she has never been heard of again.
Nothing on the association website & nowhere else!
Any info gratefully recieved.

If you are still looking DB 413 is for sale on the Bosham SC website

http://www.boshamsailingclub.com/boats_for_sale/

Walkers built, varnished clinker, 1965.

I don't know the boat and I know nothing about the price of Day Boats...though other things by Walkers are rarely cheap.
