!950's Photograph Kyrenia Harbour - Unknown Class of Dinghy

Post by Hotlog »

Good evening everybody, I am new to the CVRDA, so I thought I would start with a real teaser.

Reno Wideson, is a renowed photographer, who for many years has photographed many wonderful views of Cyprus. In his compendium of his photographs (1992), he has some great colour shots of a variety of dinghies( UK Armed Forces) from the 1950's. The sailing shots are taken in Kyrenia Harbour. I was interested know what is the type of dinghy , with the following characteristics:

Sail Insignia: A cat with an arched back and high tail, underlined( Insignia is very similar to that used by the Topcat catarmaran).
Two man single chine, bermudan rig.

Anybody out there , know the answer.
