Hykeham up date. Due to pressure on the calendar with open days, interclub events etc The committee have offered us June 23/24. I know this is a bit close to the Aldeburgh dates. What does anyone else think? They want to go to press with the club calendar quite soon so views sought

It is a bit close - what about late July/early August? Or even September?

We could do another 'picnic race' on BH MON 28 May... Joining in with the club event already programmed. But this is only a week away from hunts and as we didn't have many visitors last year I'm thinking we have a year off this year?

Another date for next year and a new venue, Bowmoor SC on 18/19 August. There is camping on site and we hope for a good attendance as it looks like a very good venue and a helpful friendly club. Thanks to Ian for doing all the hard work to get this new event on the calendar.

We've had some good events at Bowmoor in the past on both the old and the new lake - favourite memory is Kathryn putting her foot through the floor of the Mirror whilst racing!
Looking forward to a return visit.

Hi All

It looks as if I am in the driving seat again at Clywedog.

Would you all like to suggest a date which suits the majority.

We are fairly flexible with nothing firm yet.

Keith, the first weekend in July would probably be the best, or you could go for the 7/8 July, 21/22 July, 23/24 June or 8/9 June.

How about trying something very different, with a cruise one day right up to the top of the lake, then a picnic and a race around the buoys there, followed by a cruise back. Same the next day but to the bottom of the lake? I don't know how others would view it but it would make a change from another series of racing round the buoys.

Everything is coming in June/July/August- there's nothing in mid September or May. Would Clywedog be good in September?

Hi

We can do early/Mid Sept.

Also May would be possible.

I'm afraid we need to move Hunts back a week to the 9th and 10th June. The original date clashed with my trip to Austria for the D One Gold Cup, pretty much my most important race of the year. Mike has agreed the move with the Merlins, I hope it is ok with you all?

Interestingly for me we are going to Wolfgangsee, home of Hubert Raudaschl, legendary Austrian Finn sailor.
