Hunts - who is coming?

Post by Nessa »

Hunts CVRDA Rally, 9th and 10th Junealong with de May Merlins on the Saturday and SigneTs on Sunday

Free camping on site, visitors are welcome to leave boats (at own risk) Ready to go on to Aldeburgh the following weekend.

There will be six races, the first one at around 11.00am on the Saturday. There will be at lest one discard for those who can’t get to the first race

I need to know if you are coming, whether you want to camp, when you are arriving - especially if it’s Friday evening) and what you are planning to sail. Hunts does not permit keelboats or mulhulls.

We are easy to find, close to Cambridge for non sailors wanting a day out, and always aim to provide a warm welcome!

Sam with the Albacore now that a nice kind person has found me a crew/victim!!Arrive Saturday morning with campervan. Any idea about catering yet? I subscribe to the "Eat like a sparrow drink like a fish" theory when I get the chance

Arriving probably Friday with camper van and probably Albacore since that's better for Aldeburgh (apologies to Mike for not bringing Squirrel home). Staying until Monday if OK.
Happy to group walk to pub as before on Friday and Sunday (or any) evenings.

Are Peter and Keith coming.

I will be there most of Friday getrin* th8ngs Ready and working on the Finn, so will be able to let people in. There is now a massive Morrison’s within walking distance which helps with cheap petrol and food. There are some weekend road closures planned for eh A1 and A14, I will find out what they are and if they affect us let everyone know.

The galley will be open for lunches, cake, snacks etc. I thought we could make the usual pilgrimage to the Dolphin or similar on Saturday night.

Huge thanks to all who helped to make this a memorable weekend....again. Particular thanks to Nessa and birthday girl Nikki for their usual high standard of organisation and , of course , providing me with crews. If only the weather had been as good as the event. Next year maybe

Thanks to everyone who came and made it such a great weekend. We’ve had a lot of compliments in how friendly and welcoming you all are. I know lots of the newcomers plan to come to more events so job done!

Thanks, Nessa and Nikky

Another great event at Hunts in spite of the weed and, at times, lack of wind. Thank you to Nessa and Nikki for organising the whole affair including the evening meal at the Dolphin. Some great on the water photos taken by Nikki and posted on Facebook so thanks also for doing that as they help to show what the CVRDA is all about. Well done Hunts SC for hosting yet another memorable CVRDA meeting together with the Demay Merlins and the Signets.

Cheers

Hi Nessa
Sorry for my oversight . Thank you for a great meeting. We are off to Hamburg curtesy of BMW as compensation for cocking up on Shonas car.
See you at Roadford.
