" Collector's item! "

A four figure sail number in an ad for a Laser caught my eye. The description of it included " Collector's item!"
Are there really people who collect old Lasers?
Perhaps the same people collect ironingboard covers too.

Gulp, I had one of those when they were new (with wooden foils and an Elvstrom sail)

OK, I'll admit - I've been hankering for a four-digit Laser for years. I don't find any boat (or windsurfer) soulless so a piece of the history of one of the world's great classes (and a most under-rated design IMHO) would be wonderful to own.

I'm making do with a 52,000 series which is still very quick despite all the rubbish about how they go old and soft.

Hi,
it is just the sailors that get old and soft!, let me know if you want the daggerboard, I have an old multicolour full rig sail in pretty good condition as well
