It's another Tiptree Finn. Having not seen one since I sold mine in 1976 there seem to be loads now coming up for sale! If it really is a Proctor mast that must be pretty rare, I've never seen one.

This one looks pretty good to me, the Maders were quite competitive and well built. Mader still build very competitive boats particularly FD's and Stars. Would make a good CVRDA boat.

Sorry Rupert, yes there's two for sale, the one with the proctor mast is the Tiptree. We've got a Mader at Baltic Wharf, they're quite reasonable boats. Most of the Maders in the UK were supplied for the 1972 Olympics.

That explains it then, Peter! Finns really appeal, but I think I would be biting off more than I can chew.

Go for it Rupert, I was 10.5 stone when I bought my first Finn, I'm only 12.5 now.

Hi there. I used to own the Tiptree Finn above, and sold it to Dan, who is selling it now. It IS a proctor mast, and was in pretty good shape last time I saw it. I spoke to Dan a few days ago.
