I'll double check, but I can't see it being a problem.

where are most people staying? where is nearest and cheapest?

I still don't know if I have cover for Saturday but will find out tonight.

I am hoping her indoors can have a go in Rupert's Lightning - a trial sail is somewhat urgent as there is one for sale. I can bring a 2000 if that helps accommodate people, and/or my little yellow lowrider, the more stable one. Alternatively I could also bring a megabyte (for sale) if anyone is interested in it.

Alas, the whole familly, including me and my No.1 crew(Katy), are trying to shake off a chesty cough, not much sleep and temperatures, etc.

So even though I have invested in a new drysuit and woolly hat for Katy and a pair of new boots for myself, it does not look like I will be able to make it after all.

This is despite, a few weeks ago, telling Rupert that it was all systems go.

I hope the weather is as kind as can reasonably be expected for you all.

Hi all,

I will be coming again this year, with Rob (who is very kindly taking me), on the Sunday. I look forward to seeing you all again!

Also, if anyone is looking for crew (unfortunately - due to Saturday school, I can only do the Sunday), then if you could let me know, then that would be great.

Rupert,

If you would be able to put me down for food (for the Sunday), that would be great....

Best wishes, and many thanks,

Max

I intend coming on Saturday only. IF the Solo is ready I'll bring that along (she only needs painting, but I need to find the time to apply it :( ). Otherwise I'll be free to crew for anyone or can take a spare boat if there is one.

Max, Martin, will be good to see you both.

As Minisail sailors can never go anywhere with just one boat, we should have a spare for you to sail if you would like?

We have people camping, believe it or not, which is closest and cheapest. Otherwise, it is probably the Premier Inn at Blunsdon (Swindon North).

Luke and Dad might have more fun in a 2000 than a Trio? But the Yellow Peril would be more fun for you and more cvrda-able!

Doubt we're going to make it after all.....I've strained my back clearing the garden (of rubble, not boats!) so unlikely to be fit in time unfortunately. :(

Ouch...

That is a shame - hopefully you'll be back sailing soon.

Hi Luke,

just checked with our Training Principal, and a Trio is available, at a cost of £25 per day.

Due to Minisail sailor Peter having to drop out, there is a room available in a B&B very close to the club, in Ashton Keynes. Please email me (rupertatcvrdadot org) quickly if you want it, or he will be cancelling.

That would be great Rupert :D

If you could organise that, I would be very grateful.

Thanks Rupert, but after taking some time off yesterday it looks like the Solo will be sailable, providing I can find where I squirrelled away some of the bits and pieces when I brought her home in November. Why is it you can put a pair of bungs in the box but when you go to get them out there is only one?
