Thank you to all at Baltic Wharf for trying their best in less than zero wind. It was a pleasant day out and a chance to drift about in a unique environment, even the cars at the traffic lights were moving quicker than us. Rounding the leeward(?) mark in front of the SS Great Britain made it worth the agony of the race.
Highlight of the day was seeing Alan try to hang himself with a control line, then capsize and invert the Magnum8 right in front of the Cottage Inn. A master of entertainment!
Hope to do it again sometime in a bit more wind.
Lyndon

Not much to add really except nice people, good food and great boats. A couple of photos and, if you are interested, a link to photobucket for the 12 shots I took. If you would like a copy please email me and I will return the full image as these have been reduced for the purposes of the forum. The link is

Re: Baltic Wharf 16 Nov
Ed, It's one I rigged up for days when wood and cotton seem too much hassle. as you can see that old sail is not up to much anyway. But at least doesn't need drying out afterwards as much as wet cotton. But I now have the original wooden 22.6" mast and a good 25ft rig too, so a mast for all seasons.
Oh, and after my work on the keel she is still leaking quite badly but there are at least two broken ribs so further work required still.

I hate to sound smug but we had enough to capsize a few of our youngsters at Clywedog with a steady breeze all day. Keith
