I have tried trapeze, is plank easier for crew ? (I am assuming crew uses plank on Hornet ?), I have fell off back of seat on Minisprint a couple of times, it accelerates so fast sometimes, that's a weird sensation, being dragged along.

Hi Roger
I was a Hornteer for 35 years I can tell you far more about what we got up to than Dave can.

The Hornet accelerates much faster than the mini sprint Robert. I think the seat is more fun and more comfortable than the trapeze unless you get really serious and use the toe straps on the plank and hike off the end.

Minisail acceleration is good, in the right gust, but the Hornet will, indeed, blow it away. And I've fallen off the seat in both, if I remember correctly. Regularly washed off the Sprint seat on the Irish sea, that's for sure.

HMMM :?

I should think it is pretty precarious balanced on a plank with waves rolling over you, good laugh though.
