The X Class was introduced in 1909, and 198 boats have been built all of which all are accounted for. Some 150 are sailing in one of five Divisions, based on Hamble, Itchenor, Lymington, Poole and Yarmouth IOW.
Over the years there have been a number of changes to the rig, bringing it from a gaff rig to a bermudan.
