At this meeting we are especially interested in finding the "Lost
Classes" - boats which for whatever reason are of classes that
have failed to stand the test of time. For these classes, there
is no class association and no organized racing, so the CVRDA is
stepping in to try and help bring owners together.
We would also love to see sailors of boats which have been outclassed
by advances in their own fleets. A couple of examples would be the
Phantom and the Contender, where early boats from the 1970's are
still a joy to sail, but really don't stand a chance of keeping
up with the new boats at the front of the fleet.
We shall also see the "normal" CVRDA boats at the event
- boats which were designed before 1965 and built more than 25 years
ago. Often seen out are Merlin Rockets, National 12's, Finns, Fireflies,
British Moths and Pegasus. There may also be a 1970 "Skol"
International Moth attending, and other Classic Moths would be welcome.
