Bosham Sailing Club have invited us to join them for their “Classic Revival” event. This will be a unique opportunity to sail with an established Classic fleet in beautiful Chichester Harbour, where many of our classes have an ancestral home!
This is shaping up to be a great event and the Bosham team are pulling out all the stops to put on a fabulous week end of sailing and entertainment.
Starting with registration on the Friday evening with a Jazz trio playing the Racing is to be sailed on Saturday and Sunday in the main part of Chichester Harbour with 3 races “back to back” (2 short and one longer) on each day.
With pre-race briefing at 9.00am at the Bosham Quay, the club have conveniently arranged a morning high tide to carry us out for the racing, and wash us back up the channel at tea time.
A great social has been laid on for the Saturday evening with another 4 piece band (“The Mustangs”) and an excellent Supper can be booked at the Club.

Bosham are keen to help with accommodation and entrants needing help should contact the Classic fleet captain (Peter Shaw [email protected] ) for details. (Several local members have offered B&B or Garden Camping )
As a club Bosham have been developing their Classic dinghy fleet for several years but this is a new departure into the idea of an “Open Event.”
