There will be a Classic Finn Nationals which will take place on the weekend of 11/12th June next year hosted by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club in Falmouth which is being run as a prelude to the ‘Finn Festival’ hosted in Falmouth in 2012 in the lead up to the Olympics.
The festival will run over a ten day period and will take in the UK Finn Nationals, and most importantly the Finn Gold Cup (Worlds) the Gold Cup is by qualification only and limited places will be fiercely fought over in 2011, and with the Olympic Circus at Weymouth within weeks of the Gold Cup the the entry and standard from overseas will be huge.
The Classic Finns have been fortunate in that we have been offered our own event by RCYC to be held in the Carrick Roads between the two events, which will give us the opportunity to be part of the overall event itself which is not to be missed.
