After 4 years of organising this event it was pleasing to finally have the ideal sailing conditions – the law of averages decreed that it had to come right one year and 2010 was that year!

Saturday was the trickier day with a southerly that brought slightly shifty winds that would vary between about 3 and 10 knots. Much of the day was spent creeping up the Surrey bank and a hole in the wind at the bottom mark created a regular shift to the north upon rounding – very challenging!

An even south-westerly on Sunday brought much less shifty winds that were a relatively stable force 2-3 and a fabulous day of racing ensued.
