DESCRIPTION:Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club will host a special event to celebr
 ate Jack Holt’s centenary on the weekend of 7th\, 8th July 2012.\n\nWe w
 ill require pre-registration and if we become oversubscribed a reserve lis
 t may be required. Boats that have not registered will not be able to atte
 nd. There will be a first come first served system for classes that become
  over subscribed. Roger is going to be in charge of boat registration. Boa
 ts selected will be asked for an entry fee of £15 for a single hander or 
 £25 for a double hander to confirm their entry into this event. So reques
 t your entry now by completing THIS FORM!\n\nWe will need to limit the num
 ber of boats to under fifty and it is hoped to represent all of the dinghi
 es that Holt designed or built. (see below for list). Some examples may be
  difficult or impossible to locate but we want to try. We would like to ha
 ve a spread from the earliest examples from a class to a modern version to
  show the development of his work. For instance Enterprises no 1 and 2 exi
 st and the owners have expressed interest in this event. An up to date ver
 sion would make an interesting contrast. With development classes like the
  National 12s his involvement was a little more limited and only a few Hol
 t 12s exist still (possibly as few as one or two). He was the original des
 igner for the Merlins and dominated the fleet till Proctor became the lead
 ing name.\n\nThe two day event will include points races\, maybe a pursuit
 \, concours and display of boats and hopefully photo/information display e
 tc. There is a nice camping area on site etc. Please help to make this a s
 pecial event to celebrate someone who made such a contribution to the ding
 hy sailing world.
