Lifton\, Devon. PL16 0JL\n\n1) Organising Authority:\nTh e Organising Authority is\nRoadford Lake Sailing Club in conjunction with the CVRDA and Classic Finn Group\n\n2) Rules:\n2.1 The regatta will be gov erned by The Racing Rules Sailing 2013-2016\n(“RRS”) \, the prescripti ons of the RYA\, and for the Finns the rules of the International Finn Cla ss and the British Finn Association\, this N.O.R. and the Supplementary Sa iling Instructions. Appendix P\, Special Procedures for Rule 42\, will app ly.\nFinn Continuous Pumping over 10 knots WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.\n\n3) El igibility and Entry: All boats conforming to the Rules of the CVRDA (inclu ding Finns) shall be counted towards points. Other boats admitted shall be at the discretion of the Organisers and will not be awarded times or posi tions. Low rider Moths will if qualifying for the CVRDA be included in the CVRDA series. There will be separate prizes for the Moth series.\n\nEntra nts and authorised guests are temporary members of Roadford Lake Sailing C lub during the period of the event and shall comply with Club Rules and By laws.\n\n4) Entry fee:\nThe entry fee will be £30. Entries will be taken on the day. Late entries are acceptable\n\n5) Advertising:\nIn accordance with ISAF regulation 20.3 (d) (i)\, boats shall display on each side of th e bow while racing any advertising supplied by the event organiser at regi stration.\n\n6) Registration:\nThis will take place in the Administration Building between 10.00hrs-11.00hrs on Saturday and Friday evening 19.00hr s – 20.00hrs at the covered area near BBQ. Late entries are acceptable t o Event Organiser ( Alan Williams) after Saturdays racing.\n\n7) Briefing: Saturday\nFun race briefing. One off race does not count for points\nThis will take place at 10.30hrs in the area of the lakeside hut at top of the slipway on Saturday 8th\nBriefing for Series. 12.15hrs\n\n8) Schedule of Races: Saturday\n\nRace 1 First Warning Signal 12.55hrs\n\nRace 2 Back to back with Race 1 Start will be as soon as possible after\nlast finishers o f race 1\n\nRace 3 Back to back with Race 2. Start will be as soon as possible after\nlast finish ers of race 4\n\nRace 6 First Warning Signal 14.25hrs\n\nFlags\nThe Warnin g signal will be a flag identification of which will be given at Briefing. Classic Finns will sail under their Class Flag.\n\nThe Race Committee may bring forward a race or races but there will be no more than 3 races per day. Any change to the schedule of races will be made before 19:00 hrs. on the preceding day. There will be no warning signal\nafter 15:00 hrs. on t he last day except for a general recall.\n\n9) Sailing area and courses:\n The sailing area will be on Roadford Lake. Courses sailed will be club cou rses set on the day.\n\n10) Sailing Instructions:\nThese will be available from the Race Office on completion of registration or from the RLSC\n\n11 ) Scoring:\nThree completed races are required to constitute a series. One discard will apply if between 4 and 6 races are completed.\n\n12) Safety and Disclaimer of Liability:\n12.1 A competitor is responsible for their o wn safety\, whether afloat or ashore and nothing\, whether in the Notice o f Race or Sailing instructions or anywhere else reduces this responsibilit y.\n\n12.2 It is for the competitor to decide whether they are fit to sail in the conditions. By going afloat the competitor confirms they are fit a nd competent to sail and compete in those conditions.\n\n12.3 Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the liability of the competitor nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss\, damage\, death or personal injury\, however it may occur\, as a result of the boat taking part in the series. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the race and inc lude the organising authority\, the race committee\, the race officer\, pa trol boats and beach masters.\n\n12.4 The provision of patrol boats does n ot relieve the competitor of his/her responsibilities.\n\n12.5 Each boat i s required to hold adequate insurance and in particular against third part y claims of at least £2\,000\,000.\n\n12.6 Personal Buoyancy must be worn at all times whilst on the water. Failure to do so will result in disqual ification.\n\n13) Boat Parking:\nBoats should be left in the boat park\, o r as directed by a member of the event organising team.\n\n14) Car Parking :\nCars should be parked in the car park as directed. No cars in the boat park please.\n\n15) Prize-giving:\nThis will be in the area of the Watersp orts Centre as soon as possible after completion of racing on Sunday.\n\n1 6) Changes to Sailing Instructions:\n\nReminder this is a CVRDA Event and Published Times may Change. All Competitors will be notified of any change s verbally at the briefings.
