For 2025 the Nationals moves to Bowmoor Sailing Club in the Cotswold Water Park.

This year’s three day CVRDA National Rally is being hosted by Bowmoor Sailing Club over the 8th to the 10th of August. Although Bowmoor has been a regular fixture on the CVRDA calendar this will be the first time they have hosted the Nationals since sometime in the early 2000s.
Camping on site on the large grassed area is permitted for tents, caravans and motorhomes and toilets/ showers will be accessible throughout the entire weekend. If you are quick there may also be the option to book one of the club Glamping Pods for £25 per night when you enter. For those wishing to arrive on Thursday there will be someone at the club to let you in through the barrier from lunchtime onwards. The galley will be manned each day and the well-stocked bar will be open in the evenings. There will be a registration desk in the clubhouse from 09:30 on the Friday morning for all competitors even if you have already entered online. This is to gather data on each boat for handicapping purposes as well as to complete declaration forms and pick up a set of SI’s if required.

After registration it is advisable to go straight to the galley, which is run by Hackett’s, and order lunch (if required). This will greatly help to reduce waiting times when we come in for lunch after the first race. Hackett’s are willing to do a two course meal early on Saturday evening if there is sufficient interest, but they will need at least 12 people to make it viable. They have suggested Barbecue chicken with vegetables, side salad and wedges as a main course with something like Eton mess or Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert at a cost of £13.50 per head. Vegetarian options can be made available given sufficient notice.

If the weather is suitable on Friday evening, we can do a Bring and Burn BBQ, but you might want to bring something other than Chicken if you intend to join in with the evening meal on Saturday? There are also takeaway options less than ten minutes drive away from the club.

The club would prefer people to pre-enter online if possible so they have a better idea of numbers, however, it will still be possible to enter on the day if you have to make a late decision to attend.
There will be a briefing at 11:00 on Friday and the first warning signals will be at 11:25 on Friday and 10:25 on Saturday.

Normal entry is for the full three days with a choice between single-hander or double-hander, however, there is link to a separate entry path for one/ two days at the bottom of the “description” on the entry page. This is intended for those who would still like to come, but are unable to attend all three days.
